Rules

1. Adhere to Rules - All players must abide by the rules of the "Main Event Poker League".

2. Decisions - Tournament Director decisions are final

3. Blinds - Blinds will be raised consistently throughout the tournament

4. Starting Chips - Each player will start with an equal amount of chips before any "bonus" chips are given out. A player earns "bonus" chips by supporting the venue. For every $10 spent at the venue during prior visits the player will receive $100 in "bonus" chips, with a maximum of $500 during any one session. A player must redeem a "bonus coupon" in exchange for additional chips.

5.  Late Arrivals - A player will be docked 5 X the current big blind and may not join a tournament after the 3rd level has been completed.

6. Seated Into the Blinds - A player seated into the Big Blind is dealt in the hand and must post the Big Blind. A player seated into the Small Blind must wait until the deal passes him in order to be included in the hand.

7. High Card for Deal - At the start of the tournament and again when we've reached the final 2 tables and final table, we will re-draw for deal. A person is dealt one up-card. The person with the highest card will be the dealer. In the case of ties, the suit will determine the dealer as determined by this order... spades, hearts, diamonds, clubs.

8. Splashing the Pot - Players must place their bets immediately in front of them and should not throw their bets into the chip pile. Once betting is completed the dealer will push all chips into the middle before the next card is dealt.

9. Showdown - If a showdown is reached on a hand, where two or more players remain after all betting is completed, the winner must turn over both cards in order to claim the pot.

10. Show One Show All - If a player exposes any of his/her cards to another player at the table, he/she must show all players at the table the same card(s).

11. Misdeal - If two or more player's cards are exposed by the dealer, or if a dealer's card is exposed, the hand is considered a mis-deal and the cards re-shuffled and dealt again. If one card is exposed, that card will become the first "burn" card and the exposed card will be replaced after all other players receive both their cards. At no time will a player receive two cards back to back.

12. Burn Cards - The burn cards must remain separate from the muck pile and must clearly be visible to the players at the table.

13. Players Cards - The player's cards must remain on the table and in clear view of the other players at all times.

14. Player's Intentions - A player must state his/her intentions before placing their bets. They must state call or raise. If a larger chip value is placed in front of the player without a "raise" stated, than the bet is considered a "call"

15. Exposed Cards  - If a player's card(s) are exposed the hand will continue. If the dealer turns over a community card pre-maturely before betting has completed, the card will continue to play.

16. Two Players Eliminated - If two players are eliminated on the same hand then which ever player had more chips starting the hand will be awarded the higher finishing position.

17. String Bets - String bets are NOT allowed. A player may not go into his/her chip stack multiple times. If you state your intentions to be "raise" you may go into your chip stack to satisfy the "call" and then a second time to make your raise. Your raise, however, must be made in one motion.  You cannot go into your chip stack multiple times to make your raise.

18. All In - If betting has completed because of all-ins all remaining hands in play must be turned face-up. A player cannot win more from each player than they have in the pot. If an all-in player cannot satisfy the immediate bet, then a side-bet is established.

19 Absent Player - If a player is not in his seat by the time his turn comes around his/her hand is immediately mucked.
